The picturesque town of Hvar is the most popular town on the island. The large town square is the heart of the town featuring the Arsenal building, St. Stephen’s Church and a small port. Known as the island’s most popular family beach resort, this peaceful open hearted town to guests and travellers has many sites worth to discover. The angular Renaissance Square (Pjaca) like in most Dalmatian towns with restaurants around it, lies in the centre of the town. THE ISLAND WITH STUNNING BEACHES
The beaches on the island of Hvar are without doubt the most beautiful and cleanest on the Adriatic. Located in bays, Hvar’s beaches are mainly pebbled surrounded by pine forests.
As the sea waves are stronger due to the strong north winds (”bura”), there are several natural sandy beaches on the north side of the island.
