The South side of Hvar Island contains many beaches and small stone villages. A few bays worth stopping at are Milna, Dubovica and Zaraće. These lovely coastal locations are places of crystal clear sea and wonderful nature. Milna is a typical small Dalmatian town. It also features two delightful pebble beaches surrounded by pine trees and agave plants. Right next to the Milna beaches, there is Borče Bay. It is known under the name Green Lagoon, referring to the lush greenery and its reflection on the beautiful crystal-clear sea. Next in line, the gorgeous pebbly Dubovica beach is surrounded by hills and sea, featuring a few stone houses. Although lovely pine trees and greenery offer shade, Duba Beach Bar will make sure you have the best refreshments for an extra cooling effect. The sea is clear and turquoise, with a gorgeous view of the bay. Zaraće Bay is undoubtedly one of the top picks. The picturesque stone cliff in the center of the bay divides the Velo Zaraće beach on its east and Malo Zaraće on the west side. The beaches are usually not overcrowded and are a great spot for relaxing.
Red Rocks

Pakleni Islands are a group of 19 islands in front of Hvar Town. They form a stunning archipelago filled with secluded beaches and lively bays. The most popular spot is the sandy Palmižana beach on the largest island – Saint Clement. The bay is home to the famous Laganini bar and a few other restaurants. Other popular places include Mlini and Ždrilca bays, as well as Jerolim Island. Less crowded places can be found on the western part of the island.
